Hi Friends…here’s a gorgeous, heart wrenching song – written by Mike Reid (a retired NFL defensive lineman!) and Allen Shamblin and recorded by Bonnie Raitt on her Luck of the Draw album.
In August 2000, Mojo magazine voted “I Can’t Make You Love Me” #8 on its The 100 Greatest Songs Of All Time list… My personal favorite versions are the Bonnie Raitt ones! 🙂 Enjoy!!!

Didn’t Mike Reid write this son? Your arrangement is much closer to his original (piano) version than it is to Bonnie Rait’s cover, which I think is a good thing.

Probably one of if not the best cover I have ever heard of this song, instrumental or otherwise. I am definitely going to use some of this next time I play this song at a gig.
